Don’t Miss Your Chance to Inscribe a Brick at the Phoenix Wheel

As Phoenixville prepares for the return of the historic Phoenix Wheel, there’s now a simple way to become part of it.

Through a community fundraising campaign, residents and supporters can purchase an inscribed brick to be placed at the site of the Wheel. Whether it’s your name, your family, or a tribute to someone special, it’s a permanent way to leave your mark on one of Phoenixville’s most exciting projects.

The original Phoenix Wheel was crafted in 1893 using Phoenixville steel and spent over a century entertaining visitors along the Jersey Shore. Now, it’s being brought back home as a 78-foot public sculpture, set to rise in Spring 2026.

Donation options include:

  • $500 – Brick placed at the base of the Wheel
  • $100 – Brick placed at a gathering space across from the Wheel along the French Creek trailhead

There are also important deadlines to keep in mind if you want your brick installed in time for the Wheel’s Dedication Day in June 2026:

  • $100 bricks must be purchased by March 30, 2026
  • $500 bricks must be purchased by April 15, 2026

Bricks purchased after those dates will still be placed, just at a later time.

The project itself is a $1 million effort led by the Schuylkill River Heritage Center, a local nonprofit, and each brick helps support the restoration while building a lasting connection between the Wheel and the community.

Commemorative bricks also make for a meaningful gift for birthdays, holidays, or simply as a way to celebrate your connection to Phoenixville.
